WDP verklagt Smart Parts

Seit neuestem kommt es verstärkt zu Patentstreitigkeiten in der Paintballindustrie. [img]../newsimages/szenenews2003/2004-05-14-wdp-vs-sp.gif[/img]Im neusten Fall verklagt WDP (der Hersteller der Angel Reihe) über ihre Dachgesellschaft NPF Limited die Firma Smart Parts (Hersteller von Shocker und Impulse). WDP´s Klage beruht wohl auf einem Patent das 1999 von John Rice ausgearbeitet wurde. Dieses Patent schützt das Design von elektronischen Paintballmarkierern sowie das „Rotobreech“ Design der Angels. Brisant wird das ganze dadurch das Smart Parts wohl ein sehr ähnliches Patent zu elektronischen Paintballmarkierern besitzt.Neben Smart Parts selbst hat NPF zusätzlich vier Distributoren von Smart Parts Markierern verklagt die gegen das von NPF gehaltene Paten verstoßen sollen.Hier sind die Details des NPF Limited Patents nachzulesen.
