Owen von WDP schreibt:“Yes, Russian Legion are now sponsored by Empire. They left us on very good terms. They would have liked to stay with us, but wanted a big cash deal so that they could travel more and train harder. National are setting up a European operation and wanted a big European team, so they made a very good offer that the Russians could not ignore. We had the opportunity to make a lesser offer and still keep the team, but the Empire deal was so generous that we were too far apart for the Legion to be able to consider turning away the cash. WDP’s investment in Pure Promotions means that we are not willing to throw 6 figure sums at teams. Our sponsorship budget is used primarily to put on the best tournaments the World has seen.We still love the Russians though, and they behaved throughout with complete professionalism. Something that other teams that have left our stable this year could certainly learn from.“
