Planet Eclipse have been speaking to WDP over the last week with reference to the problems that seem to be emanating from the ‘Grey’ area surrounding the Millenniums firing mode rule and it’s clarification. Planet Eclipse’s stance on this matter is that until the rule has been clarified in writing then anyone using an Eclipse Marker which has the ramp modes should refrain from using them at Millennium events. The safety and liability implications of these modes are very serious and should be treated as such.If your Eclipse marker has ramping capability then you also have a true semi auto mode that is capped at 15 BPS. This mode is called CFOA or Semi 2. We advice that anyone playing at Millennium events should use this mode as it is the ONLY mode on the Eclipse Markers that falls within the guidelines set out in the Millennium rules. Even standard Semi mode can exceed 15 BPS and would disqualify your from the event.I urge the captains to bring this problem to the attention of the Millennium board and to speak up at the captains meeting to see if this problem can be addressed and hopefully resolved. If anyone is unsure of what mode to use please seek clarifications from the Millennium organisations then visit the Planet Eclipse tech booth and we will make sure your Eclipse markers is set to the tournament legal setting.
