Friday, May 19Tampa, Florida
Before watching games on Friday, Alex Fraige, Ryan Greenspan, Yosh Rau, Johnny Perchak, Todd Martinez, Brian Cole, Angel Fragoza, and Justin Schwarz from Dynasty headed over to Saint Joseph's Children's Hospital in Tampa to visit with some of the kids there.
They spent two hours going room to room visiting with over 100 kids there, and giving each one a signed poster, as well as shirts and hats from JT. Many of the kids were familiar with paintball, and knew who Dynasty was. Most of them had seen them play on ESPN or WGN. All of them were excited to be meet the guys, get autographs, and free stuff from JT.
"I felt really bad for the kids there," said Brian, "but it was nice to see them get excited about us being there."
Alex had an NPPL captain meeting to go to, so had to leave the hospital before everyone else. "I didn't want to go." Alex said. "The kids were all really cool, and it was fun to visit with them. "
During the Tampa event, Dynasty partnered with the Florida Blood Services to help them raise blood. Everyone who donated blood received a free Dynasty shirt. Leading the list of donors were Dynasty's own Frank Connell before he played on Saturday and Brian Cole's mom, Peggy.
I want to personally thank you and Team Dynasty for all of your support and help. Because of your announcements and shirts we had a wonderful response of donors. We drew a total of 102 pints over the 3 days. YEA!!! Of course Sunday was our best day with 43 due to the autographed shirts. I was amazed at how these donors came running once they heard that they could get an autographed shirt. Team Dynasty has a wonderful following. Be prepared next year, I'm going to want t-shirts each day:)
Thank you and everyone again for all of your support. I hope you continue to support each blood center at all of your games through the U.S.. If I can ever be of any assistance please let me know. I look forward to seeing you next year.
