Tiljak, who actually left Avalanche last season to play for Dynasty was widely recognized as a major damage player and went straight to Dynasty's first squad. He will no doubt be a tremendous asset to the new Avalanche.Even though Tiljak joined Dynasty last season, he still maintained his position at the Warped Sportz store in Chicago. Living in Chicago meant he was forced to make frequent trips out to California for Dynasty practices. According to Tiljak, all the travel to practice combined with 7man and Xball tournaments was beginning to wear on him and his career.“He grew up with all the new Avalanche kids. And Danny doesn't like to travel that much to practice. And Dynasty practices a lot. That's a long trip for a guy from Chicago to make every weekend,“ said Avalanche Owner Ed Poorman. Now that he is back on Avalanche, Tiljak says, „This is the best way for me to make a living and play paintball.“So far Dynasty has lost 2 starting players this season, losing Oliver Lang to Dye and the Ironmen for a six figure deal and now Danny Tiljak to Avalanche.Ed Poorman joked, „I didn't need six figures, but I did need some figures and I'm not gonna disclose that stuff.“Tiljak is leaving one of the top teams in the world and stepping into the unknown, where he will try to help revamp Avalanche and make them a top contender in the NPPL. Danny says he is thankful for his time spent on Dynasty, but this decision was best for his personal life.“Nothing against any of the Dynasty guys,“ said Danny. „I can't even describe how good it felt to be on that team (Dynasty). Those are by far the nicest guys I've been with. But playing Xball and 7man takes a lot out of you. Now all I gotta do is play 7man.“PRESS RELEASESt. Louis Avalanche is proud to announce the addition of Danny Tiljak, formerly of San Diego Dynasty, to their roster for rest 2006, and the 2007 season. Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.“Danny is a phenomenal player, a game breaker,“ said Avalanche owner Ed Poorman. „I'm happy to have him back.“The move is a double-homecoming of sorts for Tiljak, who made his professional debut with Avalanche in 2004, before moving to Dynasty between the '04 and '05 seasons. Tiljak will also be united with many players he grew up with in the Chicago paintball scene, such as Ben Chewning, Kyle Pikrone, and Erik Westerberg amongst others.“I don’t want to people to think we are making a move away from the things I have been talking about with this new team, like an emphasis on chemistry,“ added Poorman. „In fact, Danny will fit seamlessly with this group.“Tiljak has also had a long association with Warped Sportz, including help manage the Merrillville, Indiana retail location.
