Wie seit längerer Zeit bekannt stellt die Firma AKA, nach Patentstreitigkeiten mit Smart Parts, die Produktion ihrer Viking- und Excalibur-Markierer ein. Aktuell wurde die letze Charge der Viking ´04 gefertigt, die komplette Charge ist bereits verplant und AKA selbst wir die letzen 20 Vikings an den diesjährigen IAO (International Amateur Open) verkaufen.AKA Presseerklärung vom April 26, 2004:The current production run of '04 Vikings has been completed, excluding anodization and assembly. All of the '04 Vikings have been assigned to either dealers, individuals or special events. AKA will have 20 Black Vikings available to the public at the 2004 IAO. Check availability of raw or finished Vikings from the AKA dealers list at http://www.akalmp.com/DisAir.htm There are still '04 Excaliburs available in both black anodize and raw directly from AKA. There is a limited amount of '03 Excaliburs available in acid wash colors and special milling.
