Die Millennium Series hat die vorläufigen Termine für 2012 veröffentlicht. Zum ersten Paintball Event geht es im kommenden Frühling an die Französische Riviera nach St.Tropez-Cannes. In Deutschland finden die European Masters wieder in Bitburg statt, danach geht’s nach Großbritannien zu den London Masters. Der vierte und letzte Event steht noch nicht fest. Millennium Series 2012 Calendar

The Millennium Series is pleased to announce its preliminary schedule for 2012. Although we are waiting on some contractual completion in order to confirm some details, we are confident that we can release the following schedule to you so as to facilitate early planning for all:

2012 Preliminary Event Calendar

March 30th, 31st, April 1st – The Millennium French Riviera Cup (St Tropez-Cannes), France
May 25th, 26th, 27th – Bitburg, Germany
June 29th, 30th, July 1st – London, UK
4th Event – Venue and Date to be confirmed

The Millennium, as in 2011, will keep the Series to 4 events as we feel the prevailing economic situation in Europe does not warrant a return to 5 events next year. We will re-evaluate the situation once more at the end of the 2012 season.

Following a very successful 2011 Series which saw attendance grow against a backdrop of economic turmoil, The Millennium Series is determined to continue this trend throughout 2012 and to work closely with teams and traders to promote paintball and to encourage the sport and industry further still.

In 2012 we will introduce another new and exciting location and venue and following on from the 2011 success, will (in collaboration with the EPBF) once again give national teams the opportunity to compete for their country in EPBF International Cup competitions. Further information will be available in the coming weeks via The Millennium, EPBF and your National Federations.

As with the last couple of years we have been very careful when choosing venues to ensure the best possible value for teams, trying to keep additional costs to a minimum. Although this year we have spread slightly further afield with the addition of „The French Riviera“, there will be superb and very reasonably priced accomodation for all available, (details to follow shortly), making this a very cost effective event to attend with an atmosphere second to none. This event promises to be an all time classic.

In order to fine tune and improve the playing experience at Millennium events, we will shortly be sending out a questionnaire to all teams participating in 2011 to gain a good understanding of our customer needs and requirements and act on them accordingly.

An diesem Wochenende ging der vierte und letzte Paintball-Event der Millennium Series 2011 in Paris-Disney über die Bühne. Mit 176 Teams war der Event unter strahlender Spätsommersonne vollkommen ausgebucht:

Frankfurt Syndicate belegt den achten, Ramstein Instinct den neunten Platz des Turniers in der Champions Paintball League. Syndicate erreicht damit 216 Punkte und Platz 5 im Serien-Ranking, Instinct landet mit 140 Punkten auf Platz 10.

In der Semiprofessionellen Paintball League holt sich Offenbach Comin At Ya sensationell den Sieg in Paris-Disney und katapultiert sich auf Platz 6 der Serie. Auch die SPL-Neulinge Roosters Ulm beeindrucken mit Platz 4, was sie immerhin auf Platz 15 in der Serie bringt. Die Schweizer Consilium Dei Zurich schaffen mit Platz 3 in Disney und Gewinner der Serie nach drei Jahren endlich den Aufstieg zurück in die CPL.

Im European Paintball League-Youth Cup scheidet die deutsche U19 leider bereits gegen die belgische Mannschaft aus, die Platz 2 erreicht.

Alles in allem lieferte die Serie mit dem World Cup in Paris-Disney ein gelungenes Turnier und rundet damit das harmonische Bild der Saison 2011 ab. Als etwas schade ist die geringe deutsche Beteiligung anzusehen, die mit immerhin über 300 Teams in der Deutschen Paintball Liga doch etwas mehr am internationalen Paintball-Geschehen teilhaben könnte.

Die EPBF startet 2011 ein europaweites Ranglistensystem. Je nach der Größe und Spielklasse von Serien, Turnieren und Ligen werden an alle Paintball-Teams Punkte entsprechend ihrer erreichten Platzierung vergeben. Die Tabelle dazu findet ihr dort: Ranking sheet EPBF ranking system 2011. Dazu gibt es eine neue WebSite als zentrale Informationsquelle und Plattform in die separaten Anmeldesysteme für die Teams.

Dear Teams, Players & Paintball Industry,

We are pleased to inform you that for some time the paintball federations of Europe have been working together under the umbrella of the EPBF in order to more effectively address the development & wellbeing of Paintball across the continent.

After much work and consultation the EPBF are now ready to launch a Europe wide common ranking system for all European registered teams. The ranking will include results from European International events and national events organised under the EPBF umbrella combining all results into one system.

The EPBF ranking consists of 5 groups:

EPBF Grand Slams
EPBF Masters
EPBF 600
EPBF 400
EPBF 240

Each group receives different point’s recognition as does position, similar to the ranking in Tennis. The highest number of points being given to Grand Slams and reducing accordingly to EPBF 240’s.

EPBF 600, 400, 240 Events:
These events are the national leagues which are split into 3 groups dependent on the number of participants.

France: LNP
Germany: DPL
UK: CCPS
Poland: PLP
Austria: OPBL
Ukraine: UAC

Other countries and events will be added to this list as we complete our due diligence to ensure all requirements are complied with.

There will be no limit to the number of events a team can enter and every result will be counted in the EPBF ranking. Teams will not need to submit their results as this is done by the EPBF and all event & league operators. The ranking will be published on the official EPBF website where all teams, sponsors & interested parties will be able to see every teams ranking. Attached to this release you will see the points attributed to all groups and positions. This ranking will be back dated to the beginning of 2011 and will be published in full very soon.

We believe this is a big step on the road to proper official recognition of our sport across Europe. It should prove to be a very useful tool for teams and the industry as a whole.

Like all new systems, we will continuously monitor and listen to feedback and if necessary fine tune details for the next season.

Das Turnier in Deutschland findet wieder in Bitburg statt, die „Map to the location“ auf der Millennium WebSite zeigt dieses Jahr auf die altbekannte Sportschule als Veranstaltungsort.
