This is a great new design from us. We have been in the Aerospace industry for over 25 years. We use Autoclaves and Vac bags to cure our product. This causes the material to compress and cure together better than any composite barrels out there. The threads are machined into a woven CF not a Uni Directional CF. The threads will not shear off, they are not impervious to damage. It is stronger than an aluminum barrels threads. What happens if you drop an aluminum barrel on its threads??? A dent. Thus making it unusable, no warranty, the MF is not going to dent, it is probably not going to even chip, but if it does there is a 1 year warranty. Do you remember when the Stiffi only had a 1 year waranty? Everyone was very happy to get any warranty at all from a barrel company. This barrel comes with a 1 year warranty not because we think it is going to wear out faster, but because it is a mid-priced barrel. With an elite barrel like the Stiffi you get an elite warranty and the best barrel out there. No mid-priced barrel I know of comes with any warranty. The MF is made out of 100% composite materials, not 100% CF. It is a Hybrid mixture of E-Glass and CF. There is more CF than E-glass, this helped us pass the savings on to you the customers. Wait until you see the video of the barrel in action. We have been developing this for quite some time. It is going to be the best Mid-Priced barrel you have seen IMO.
